FAQs
About air conditioning
How does air conditioning work?
Air conditioning removes heat from inside your home and releases it outside, making your room cooler and more comfortable. It works continuously to maintain the temperature you set.
What is the indoor unit?
The indoor unit is mounted inside your room and gently distributes cooled or warmed air. It is designed to be quiet, efficient, and unobtrusive.
What does the outdoor unit do?
The outdoor unit releases the heat taken from inside your home. It operates automatically and is built to work efficiently in UK conditions.
Does air conditioning heat as well as cool?
Yes. All Breezi systems use heat pump technology, meaning they provide efficient cooling in summer and heating in cooler months.
Is air conditioning suitable for UK homes?
Yes. Modern systems are specifically designed to work efficiently in climates like the UK and are increasingly common in homes.
Is my home suitable?
Is my home suitable for air conditioning?
Most houses are suitable. The survey confirms the best setup for your property.
Can air conditioning be installed in older houses?
Yes. Many older homes are suitable, including solid-wall properties.
Can one outdoor unit serve multiple rooms?
In some homes this is possible. It depends on layout and is confirmed during the survey.
Do you install air conditioning in apartments?
Not at the moment. We are expanding our service offering, so please check back in the coming months.
Do I need planning permission?
Most homes do not need planning permission. Listed buildings and properties in conservation areas usually do. We currently do not service these properties.
Installation and disruption
How long does installation take?
Most installations are completed in a single day.
Will there be a lot of mess?
No. Installation involves limited drilling and we always tidy up before leaving.
Will you need to drill through walls?
Yes. Small holes are required to connect the indoor and outdoor units. These are sealed neatly as part of the installation.
Do I need to be at home during installation?
Yes. An adult needs to be present to provide access and receive the system handover.
Where will the outdoor unit be placed?
Placement is agreed during the survey, considering appearance, noise, airflow, and access.
Survey before installation
Why do you carry out a survey?
The survey ensures your home is suitable and confirms the safest and neatest way to install your system.
What happens during the survey?
We check access, wall types, electrical supply, unit placement, and overall suitability. No installation work is carried out.
How long does the survey take?
Typically between 30 and 60 minutes.
Do I need to be at home for the survey?
Yes. We need access to the property.
Does the survey involve drilling or permanent changes?
No. The survey is non-invasive.
Is the survey included in the price?
The survey is covered by your deposit. If your property is not suitable, your deposit is refunded. If incorrect information leads to a wasted visit, a £60 survey fee is retained.
Will the final price change after the survey?
Only if something materially different is discovered. Any changes are discussed and agreed before proceeding.
Running costs and efficiency
How much electricity does air conditioning use?
Usage depends on room size, insulation, and how often you use it. Modern systems are highly efficient.
Will air conditioning increase my electricity bill a lot?
For most households, the increase is modest and predictable.
Is air conditioning energy efficient?
Yes. Breezi systems use inverter heat pump technology, which is far more efficient than traditional electric heating.
Can air conditioning reduce heating costs?
Yes. In mild weather, heating with air conditioning can be cheaper than gas or electric heaters.
Noise, comfort and health
Is air conditioning noisy?
Indoor units are very quiet and suitable for bedrooms. Outdoor units meet residential noise standards.
Can I run air conditioning at night?
Yes. Quiet and sleep modes are designed for overnight use.
Will it cause drafts or dry air?
Airflow is gentle and adjustable. Used correctly, it should feel comfortable rather than draughty.
Is air conditioning safe for children and pets?
Yes. Systems are safe and commonly used in family homes.
Does air conditioning improve air quality?
Yes. Built-in filters help remove dust and airborne particles.
Using your air conditioning
Can I control my air conditioning from my phone?
Yes. All Breezi systems include app control as standard.
Is it easy to use if I am not technical?
Yes. You can use simple preset modes, the remote control, or the app.

Yes. You can automate temperatures to match your daily routine.
What happens if my Wi-Fi goes down?
Your system continues to work normally using the remote control.
